He thanked the British Prime Minister for announcing a credit support worth 500 million pounds to invest in Vietnam's infrastructure. The two sides also agreed to promote the early signing of the Vietnam - European Union Free Trade Agreement in 2015, as well as continue to strengthen cooperation in multilateral forums and international organizations, especially the UN, ASEAN and EU.

'On the topic of the East Sea, the Prime Minister and I share deep concerns about the current situation in the region, especially large-scale activities to build, expand, and change the status quo of reef islands in the East Sea, threatening peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation and aviation in the region, where there is a large international maritime route connecting trade between Europe and Asia, and at the same time seriously affecting the marine environment', Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said.
‘Both sides believe that all disputes must be resolved by peaceful means, without taking actions that further complicate the situation, without using force or threatening to use force, complying with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and striving to soon have a Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC)’.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that Prime Minister David Cameron had invited him to visit England again.
In response, the British Prime Minister shared his joy when returning to Vietnam after traveling 20 years ago. Today, he came to Vietnam for the first time as the current British Prime Minister, within the framework of his first trip outside Europe. Vietnam is also the only country during this visit to Southeast Asia that he went to two cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
He expressed his belief that the 500 million pound credit support will help British companies, architects, and designers connect with Vietnam's infrastructure needs.'VN over the past 20 years has developed impressively with GDP per capita increasing by 350%. Education cooperation also makes the British Prime Minister optimistic: 5 thousand Vietnamese students are studying in the UK, 5 million Vietnamese people are studying English in Vietnam.
'Regarding security and defense, we hope that here the two sides will discuss more actively issues such as human trafficking, modern slavery... This is just the first meeting between the Prime Ministers of the two countries in Vietnam, but it is a good start for the two sides to continue to meet and discuss', Mr. David Cameron emphasized.
Previously, after the talks, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing ceremony of documents: Aircraft engine maintenance contract between Vietnam Airlines Corporation and Rolls Royce Group worth 340 million pounds (equivalent to 10,880 billion VND); Decision of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam for Prudential Group to issue CP bonds worth 100 million pounds (equivalent to 3,200 billion VND).
