The establishment of an urban administrative unit in Thuy Nguyen district on the basis of the status quo of 261.86 km2 of natural area, population of 333,900 people and 37 commune-level administrative units of the district ensures compliance with regulations and in accordance with practice.
After the establishment of Thuy Nguyen city, Hai Phong city did not change in natural area, population and number of district-level administrative units; The number of commune-level administrative units will decrease.
