VNPT's presence in Laos confirms practical cooperation in the economic field between Vietnam and Laos.
On the evening of December 26, in the capital Vientiane, VNPT-International Telecommunications Company officially opened its Representative Office in Lao PDR. Attending were Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Laos, Hiem Phomachanh, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan.
After opening representative offices in Cambodia and Myanmar in the middle of this year, VNPT has officially started operations in Laos. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Cong Lam, Deputy Director of International Telecommunications Company (VNPT) emphasized: 'With the opening of the VNPT representative office in Laos, we strongly believe that the current cooperative relationship between VNPT and customer partners in Laos will be raised to a new level, contributing to promoting cooperative relations between Laos and Vietnam'.
