(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of September 17, Comrade Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired the meeting of the Socio-Economic, National Defense-Security, and Foreign Affairs Group (Subcommittee on Documents of the 17th City Party Congress).

At the meeting, the socio-economic, defense-security, and foreign affairs groups implemented programs, plans, and assigned tasks to members. Accordingly, the group is expected to have 34 members led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Comrade Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee is the Deputy Leader.
The group is responsible for developing a 5-year summary report of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress; Resolution of the 16th Congress of the City Party Committee on socio-economic development, defense-security, and foreign affairs; research, analyze and forecast the situation; building viewpoints, directions, a system of goals, targets, tasks, solutions, strategic breakthroughs in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and the city's foreign affairs in the period 2025-2030. At the same time, he edited the Political Report submitted to the 17th City Party Congress on socio-economic content, ensuring national defense-security and foreign affairs.
The group is also responsible for building a report summarizing the opinions of officials, party members and people from all walks of life and Party Congresses at all levels participating in the draft documents of the 14th National Congress; Report synthesizing, receiving, explaining and accepting comments from the Congress of Party Committees under the City Party Committee in the Document submitted to the 17th City Party Congress on socio-economic, defense-security, and foreign affairs content.
To serve the purpose of developing reports and performing tasks, the Team divided into 3 groups to survey the actual results of leadership, direction and organization of implementing tasks on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs work at Party Committees. At the same time, a Working Group was established led by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Director of the Department of Finance.

At the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung and leaders of departments and branches basically agreed with the Group's expected programs and plans; Expected outline of the 5-year summary report of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress; Resolution of the 16th Congress of the City Party Committee on socio-economic development, defense-security, and foreign affairs. The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested a report to fully evaluate the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the City Party Committee (2020-2025); clearly state the main viewpoints, goals, directions, tasks and solutions for city development; strategic breakthroughs in the 5 years 2025-2030. In particular, special attention should be paid to the Politburo's Conclusion on the 5-year preliminary review and continued implementation of Resolution 45 of the XII Politburo on construction.g and develop Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045. The Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the urgent implementation of assigned tasks, ensuring progress and quality requirements, actively contributing to the development of documents submitted to the 17th City Party Congress./.
