As of the end of September 2015, the Russian Federation ranked 17th out of 105 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with 114 valid investment projects, total registered investment capital of 1.961 billion USD.
Russian Federation investors invest the most in the field of processing and manufacturing with 37 projects, total investment capital is 1.13 billion USD (accounting for 58% of total investment capital), ranked 2nd is mining with 7 investment projects, total investment capital is 581.2 million USD (accounting for 30% of total investment capital), ranked 3rd is the real estate business field with 03 projects, total investment capital is 72.73 million USD. Investment capital of the Russian Federation is mainly in the form of 100% foreign capital and business cooperation contracts. The form of 100% foreign capital leads with 72 investment projects, total investment capital of 1,267 billion USD (accounting for 64% of total registered investment capital); form of business cooperation contract with 4 projects, investment capital is 381.26 million USD (accounting for 19% of investment capital), followed by investment in the form of joint venture with 36 projects, total investment capital is 256.43 million USD (accounting for 13% of total investment capital). The remaining is a joint stock company form.
Up to now, the Russian Federation has projects in 26 localities, concentrated in favorable areas. Leading the way is Binh Dinh with 01 project with a total investment capital of 1 billion USD; Offshore oil and gas projects include 6 projects with a total investment capital of 531.2 million USD; followed by Hanoi with 29 projects, total investment capital of 131.9 million USD; The remaining are projects in other localities.
(1) Bus Industrial Center Co., Ltd. project, licensed on April 12, 2013 with a total registered investment capital of 1 billion USD, with the goal of building a factory to assemble and produce bus parts and other support services in Binh Dinh.
(2) Oil and gas contract for lot 129,130,131,132 signed on October 28, 2008, licensed on February 4, 2009 with a total registered investment capital of 328.2 million USD, the investor is GAZPROM AND ZARUBEZHNEFTEGAZ Company with the goal of exploiting oil and gas..
As of the end of September 2015, Vietnam had 18 investment projects in Russia with a total new and increased capital investment of 2.4 billion USD, including some typical projects such as:
(1) Rusvietpetro Joint Venture Company Project, with a total registered investment capital of 2.02 billion USD, licensed on October 15, 2008, invested by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam Oil and Gas Corporation) - PVN in Nhenhexky Autonomous Region, Russia with the goal of exploring and exploiting oil and gas.
(2) Rusvietpetro Joint Venture Company project, with a total registered investment capital of 125 million USD, licensed on March 5, 2013, invested by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) at Nagumanov Field, Orenburg, Russia with the goal of exploring and exploiting oil and gas.
(3) Hanoi-Moscow Trade Center Investment Joint Stock Company, with a total registered investment capital of 190 million USD, licensed on April 16, 2008, invested by Hanoi Moscow Trade Center Joint Stock Company, headquartered at kilometer 94 Makad Street, Northeast District, Moscow City, Russian Federation with the goal of investing in the construction of a cultural, sports and commercial center; hotels and offices for rent.
