On the morning of October 5, at the City Convention Center, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung received Mr. Pieter De Crem, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe of the Kingdom of Belgium. Accompanying Mr. Pieter De Crem was Ms. Jehanne Roccas, Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam. Also attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh and leaders of relevant departments and branches.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung thanked Mr. Pieter De Crem for coming to work with Hai Phong city; At the same time, thank the Kingdom of Belgium and the Ren Groupt A Port has recently paid attention and invested in Hai Phong with high efficiency. The Chairman of the City People's Committee said that currently, Belgian projects in the city are developing well, this is a model result between the Belgian Government and the Vietnamese Government as well as Rent A Port Group and Hai Phong city. Today, October 5, the groundbreaking ceremony of the project at Hai Phong International Gateway Port Industrial Park of Dinh Vu Industrial Park Joint Stock Company took place. This is the 4th project in the city, affirming the continuity of development between Belgium and Vietnam as well as Rent A Port Group and Hai Phong city. With such results, the Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that Mr. Pieter De Crem will pay attention in the coming time to better implement projects between Vietnam in general,Hai Phong in particular with the Kingdom of Belgium.

Mr. Pieter De Crem also said that 2018 will celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Belgium and Vietnam.
