(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of May 30, comrade Le Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council received a working delegation from Yunnan province, China led by comrade Nguyen Thanh Phat, member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of Yunnan province, China on a working visit to Hai Phong city. Speaking at the reception, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Van Thanh welcomed the delegation to visit and work in the city. In particular, in 3 years, the city has attracted more than 7 billion USD in investment from FDI enterprises, including many businesses from China. In Hai Phong, there are two Chinese industrial parks currently operating effectively: Do Son Industrial Park and An Duong Industrial Park, thereby affirming the effective economic development and cooperation relationship between the city and Chinese businesses.
The City Party Secretary also said that in addition to promoting socio-economic development, the city is also focusing on strongly developing transportation infrastructure, so he hopes that in the coming time the two localities will cooperate to open flights between Hai Phong - Yunnan and promote the construction of high-speed railways; Along with that is cooperation to develop tourism. Hai Phong and Yunnan are two localities with many similarities to develop together strongly.
