As the largest FDI enterprise, making a major contribution to Vietnam's budget, the Prime Minister hopes Samsung will continue to invest heavily in Vietnam, building and developing research and development centers on an even larger scale. The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Samsung, to operate smoothly in production and business. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the world's leading corporations like Samsung increasing investment in Vietnam. Samsung's large amount of capital and commitment to quick and long-term investment in the high-tech sector is the strongest affirmation of the attractiveness of Vietnam's destination.
Vietnam is proud to be one of the largest mobile phone manufacturing centers in the world, as well as having many other high-end products, many of which belong to the Samsung group. Samsung's projects in Vietnam have created jobs for more than 130,000 workers.
Those results contribute practically to developing the Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership and cooperation in an in-depth and effective direction.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the implementation progress and supported Samsung Group's continued expansion of investment in Vietnam not only in the field of electronics but also in other strong fields such as energy, infrastructure, seaports, science and technology, and healthcare.
Mr. Shin Jong Kyun said that this year, Samsung will produce more than 200 million mobile phone products for export to countries around the world.
"We are very pleased to receive the Prime Minister's attention to FDI enterprises in general and Samsung in Vietnam in particular", General Director of Samsung Group expressed and hopes that the Vietnamese Government will soon have a suitable strategy to stay ahead of the world's information technology and telecommunications development trends.
General Director Shin Jong Kyun believes that, with the support of the Vietnamese Government, Samsung's projects will be accelerated, thereby greatly contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development; At the same time, we commit to strictly comply with Vietnamese legal regulations on investment, business, salary, bonus, social insurance and welfare for employees.

Mr. William Weidner said that US lawmakers are very supportive of US businesses investing and doing business in Vietnam and that the US business group wants to build a modern commercial center in Ho Chi Minh City. On the same afternoon, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received a group of US investors led by Mr. William Weidner, Director of Weidner Holdings Group.
Mr. William Weidner hopes that by participating in the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), Vietnam will become a gateway to attract international investment.
Affirming the Vietnamese Government's commitment to creating favorable conditions for investors, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that there are many successful US projects in Vietnam; Hopefully in the coming time, Vietnam-US relations will develop more strongly in all fields, including economics, trade, and investment.
The Prime Minister said that he will direct Ho Chi Minh City to create all favorable conditions for the project of the US investor group to be implemented as planned./.
