On June 6, the Government issued Decision No. 98/QD-BCDODA on members of the National Steering Committee on ODA and preferential loans.
Accordingly, the National Steering Committee on ODA and concessional loans is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, and Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung is Deputy Head.
The Steering Committee consists of 14 members.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 72/QD-BCDODA dated April 16, 2013 on members of the ODA National Steering Committee.
It is known that on average in the past few years, each year Vietnam has disbursed about 5 billion USD in ODA loans and preferential loans.
The cumulative total disbursed ODA and foreign concessional loans as of May 2016 reached about 71% of the total signed ODA capital. Currently, about 22 billion USD has been signed and is in the process of being implemented; Of which, 2.15 billion USD must be disbursed before 2016, the rest are projects that have plans to disburse according to the roadmap until 2020 and many projects after 2020.
