(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 11, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho on-site inspected the progress of projects to renovate and upgrade Road 359 in Thuy Nguyen district, the section from Binh bridge to Trung Ha commune and the section from Thuy Trieu commune to Ben Rung Industrial Park; Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 10, section from Da Bac bridge to Kien bridge. According to Thuy Nguyen district's report, the counting for site clearance to serve basic projects has been completed, however there are still some recommendations from households about compensation unit prices, resettlement plans... For the section from Binh bridge to Trung Ha commune with a length of more than 8km, there are currently 281/1,727 households that have not received money and handed over the site.
Regarding construction work, the 6.5km long section from the foot of Binh bridge to Xua bridge has been basically completed, with 21 households still stuck in the area of Regiment 238 and the foot of Binh bridge. On the route, the locality and the contractor are focusing on site clearance and construction of the section through Thuy Trieu and Trung Ha communes, 1.5km long, with the total completion volume reaching over 80%.
Construction of Minh Duc Bridge
For the section from Thuy Trieu commune to Ben Rung Industrial Park, the total number of households that have not yet received money and handed over the site is 263/1101 households, accounting for 23.89%, the total completed volume of provincial road component 359 is about 45%. Currently, the project is incurring compensation costs, Land Clearance must adjust the investment policy and adjust the investment project.

Through field inspection of projects, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho assessed that although recently Thuy Nguyen district and other sectors have been very active in implementing projects, however, coordination has not been tight, currently the workload is still very large, especially site clearance work. The Vice Chairman suggested that the Party Committee and local authorities need to be more drastic, regularly hold meetings to direct progress, and that Thuy Nguyen district needs to increase human resources to carry out site clearance work.
Along with that, the Vice President requested the Department of Transport and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate closely to support Thuy Nguyen district in removing obstacles in resolving land procedures, appraising and adjusting projects. The Project Management Board directed contractors to concentrate equipment and human resources, take advantage of favorable weather, and speed up the construction progress of project items along the entire route.
The Vice Chairman also emphasized that the city will resolutely handle cases where contractors construct slowly and do not ensure the overall progress of the project. Accordingly, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 10, the section from Da Bac bridge to Kien bridge, will be completed to be inaugurated on the occasion of National Day September 2, 2022; The project to renovate and upgrade Road 359 in Thuy Nguyen district will complete the technical opening of the entire route before December 31, 2022; Of which, the section from the foot of Binh Bridge to the gate of Regiment 238 will be completed before May 13, 2022; The section from An Lu commune to Trung Ha commune will be completed in October 2022.
