(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of May 15, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee convened a Conference of the City Party Committee to carry out the following contents: Giving opinions on projects on arranging, establishing and adjusting administrative boundaries at district and commune levels in Hai Phong city in the period of 2023-2025; policy of choosing a city symbol.

At the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan briefly reported on projects to arrange, establish and adjust administrative boundaries at district and commune levels in Hai Phong city for the period 2023-2025. Among them, there are 4 projects including: Arranging district and commune-level administrative units in the city for the period 2023-2025; established Thuy Nguyen city; established An Duong district; Adjust the boundaries of the administrative unit of An Duong district to expand Hong Bang district and establish wards in Hong Bang district.
Accordingly, there are 41 units in 9 districts (Ngo Quyen, Kien An, Le Chan, Hong Bang, Kien Thuy, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao, An Duong, Thuy Nguyen) that must be arranged in the period 2023-2025. After arrangement, the whole city has 15 district-level administrative units (8 districts, 1 city and 6 districts) with 167 communes, wards and towns; Reduce 50 commune-level administrative units. Along with that, the Projects also clearly demonstrate plans to strengthen the organizational apparatus; headquarters, public property; Especially resolving policies and regimes for more than 1,100 redundant officials, civil servants, and public employees, ensuring suitability, stability, and convenience for the people.
