(Haiphong.gov.vn) - The Chairman of the City People's Committee has just agreed to the policy of Hai Phong Metal Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to research and implement the Kien Thuy bus station construction investment project in Thuy Huong commune, Kien Thuy district (type 3 bus station).
The City People's Committee assigned the Hai Phong Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to preside with relevant departments, branches and localities to guide Hai Phong Metal Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to comply with regulations.
Currently, in Kien Thuy district, passenger transport activities are still weak, fragmented and develop spontaneously, causing traffic insecurity, not meeting the travel needs of the people and the local socio-economic development. According to the approved plan, Kien Thuy Bus Station is planned to be built on a land area of 7,000m2 in Thuy Huong commune.
According to the People's Committee of Kien Thuy district, investing in the construction of Kien Thuy bus station in the current period is very necessary, facilitating travel and transporting goods between regions, and is also consistent with the Planning.
In the coming time, Kien Thuy district will continue to complete traffic projects approved by the city; Exploiting and connecting the district's transportation system with coastal roads, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, provincial roads 362, 263 associated with investment in building passenger bus stations of the district. By 2025, the district's transportation infrastructure will form a synchronous system including a road system, a static parking system, bus pick-up and drop-off places, and intra-provincial bus stations; There is a system of loading and unloading yards along Van Uc river developed to meet the water transportation requirements of the district and region.
