(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 8, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh received a courtesy call on the working delegation of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage of Kitakyushu City (Japan) led by Mr. Morinaga Kenichi - Director of the Department of International Projects, Department of Water Supply and Sewerage of Kitakyshu City, along with officials: City Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, International Projects and students. Kitakyushu City High School on the occasion of a working visit to Hai Phong.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his joy when welcoming the delegation to visit and work in Hai Phong. Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh commented that this business trip is part of a series of activities commemorating the 5th anniversary of establishing the relationship between the two cities of Hai Phong and Kitakyushu. He also highly appreciated the projects that Kitakyushu city as well as projects using ODA capital from the Japanese Government have been cooperating and supporting in Hai Phong such as: An Duong Water Plant Project, Tan Vu - Lach Huyen motorway project; electric bus project in Cat Ba... Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also expressed his wish that in the coming time, the friendship and cooperation between the two cities will become more sustainable and developed.eh. At the same time, I hope the delegation and the students will have more interesting experiences to better understand the country and people of Vietnam in general, and Hai Phong city in particular.
Thanking the warm welcome from the leaders of Hai Phong city, Mr. Morinaga Kenichi - Director of the Department of International Projects, Kitakyushu City Water Supply and Sewerage Department said that this business trip is an opportunity for the delegation and students to learn about the water supply and drainage system in Hai Phong city. At the same time, practical experience at projects that Kitakyushu city is supporting in Hai Phong will help students accumulate experience and become more aware of preserving the environment. Mr. Morinaga Kenichi also hopes that in the coming time, the leaders and people of the two cities will have an increasingly close and friendly cooperative relationship, especially in the field of water supply and drainage.  Kitakyushu city high school students shared that they learned a lot from their visit to Hai Phong. Also at the meeting, students from Kitakyushu city thanked Hai Phong city leaders for creating conditions for them to visit and learn about water supply and drainage projects in Hai Phong. According to the delegation's program from August 6 to 8, 2019, the delegation and students from Kitakyushu interacted with students of Tran Phu High School for the Gifted; Visit Vinh Niem wastewater treatment plant and pumping station; An Kim Hai ditch survey; worked with Hai Phong Drainage Company Limited and visited An Duong clean water ditch. haiphong.gov.vn |
