On the morning of October 13, the City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Department of Foreign Affairs held a launching ceremony for the 2017 Hai Phong Foreign Language Festival to continue spreading the effect of the foreign language learning movement in the area and strengthen people-to-people diplomacy and cultural exchanges with other countries.
The 2017 Hai Phong Foreign Language Festival includes 3 main competitions: English, Korean and Japanese to create opportunities for the city's people to practice and apply major foreign languages in work and life. 2017 is the 5th year the Japanese contest has been held, the 4th year for the English contest and the 3rd year for the Korean contest.
With the 2017 Hai Phong Foreign Language Festival, the exam organization method has been innovated, suitable for a variety of contestants. Difficult languages such as Japanese and Korean continue to be researched to offer options for writing, essay and rhetoric, with optional topics revolving around the main theme of the contest. On the one hand, the Organizing Committee will discover candidates with good language skills as the nucleus of the movement, and on the other hand, propagate and encourage those who are just starting to learn foreign languages to proactively grasp foreign language learning methods in the period of international integration.
