On the morning of May 11, in the presence of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh along with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Industry and Trade, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of business investment between Kitakyushu city (Japan) and DEEP C Hai Phong Industrial Park took place successfully.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh and representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on business investment cooperation.
Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Kitakyushu city, there were: Mr. Kenji Kitahashi, Mayor of Kitakyushu city; Mr. Kouichi Murakami, Chairman of the Kitakyushu City People's Council; On the side of DEEP C Industrial Park, there was Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, General Director.
This is a meaningful event on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of twinned cooperation between Hai Phong city and Kitakyushu city. Through the Memorandum of Understanding signing program, the two parties will jointly agree to carry out a series of activities to exchange business opportunities, develop potential customers and co-organize promotional events to promote investment in Kitakyushu city as well as DEEP C Industrial Park and Hai Phong city. This is also the basis for the two sides to increase opportunities to access investors, expand their network by connecting potential business partners, contributing to FDI growth.
Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his belief that the signing of the above Memorandum of Cooperation between DEEP C and Kitakyushu city will be a highlight in cooperation between the two cities, paving the way for investment cooperation opportunities for businesses in the future, while contributing to promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two sister cities of Hai Phong - Kitakyushu. On behalf of the city government, the Vice Chairman sent sincere thanks to the government and people of Kitakyushu city for the development of the two cities on the path of cooperation and building a green city model.
Established in 1997, as a joint venture between the People's Committee of Hai Phong city and partner Rent-A- Port (Kingdom of Belgium), DEEP C Industrial Park has currently achieved proud achievements, becoming one of the most successful industrial parks in the country, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city.
DEEP C Industrial Park has become a 1,700-hectare house in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone; attracted nearly 90 investment projects from major countries; contributing more than 20% of total foreign investment attraction in Hai Phong; contributing to creating over 10,000 direct jobs and 50,000 indirect jobs for workers in the Red River Delta region.
