Le Chan district's economy in the first quarter of 2021 continued to grow

On the morning of April 1, Le Chan District Party Committee organized the 5th District Party Executive Committee Conference to summarize the situation, results of implementing tasks in the first quarter, and implementing key tasks in the second quarter of 2021. Attending and directing the Conference was Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone.

In the first quarter of 2021, despite being greatly affected by the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, Le Chan district focused on synchronously and drastically implementing socio-economic development tasks in parallel with epidemic prevention and control. The economy continues to grow, most major economic indicators achieve average growth. Total budget balance revenue reached 308,764 billion VND, equal to 32% of the plan assigned by the city, 157% of the same period in 2020. The value of industrial production managed by the district in the first 3 months of the year reached 92,900 million VND, equal to 22.83% of the plan for 2021. Land clearance work to implement projects, especially key projects of the city, is highly focused.

The fields of culture and society, social security and welfare continue to receive careful attention and care, contributing to improving the quality of people's lives. The work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic mobilized the active participation of the entire political system, achieved good results, and controlled the spread of the disease in the area. The political and social situation is stable, national defense and security are maintained. The work of building the Party, the political system, and mobilizing the people was implemented comprehensively and synchronously by the District Party Committee and Party Committees at all levels, achieving many important results.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Le Trung Kien, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, noted the results Le Chan district achieved in the first 3 months of 2021, many economic indicators achieved growth, the political security situation, social order and safety were stable; Do a good job in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic, creating consensus among the people.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, consistent with the key task groups and solutions in the second quarter of 2021 proposed by the report, the Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone requested Le Chan District Party Committee to continue to focus heavily on implementing key projects in the district, disbursement of public investment capital, and off-budget projects in the district; well implement the city's yearly theme "Promoting urban embellishment and modernization - Building model new rural areas" and the district's "Promoting urban management and embellishment - Land clearance"; Highly focus on removing difficulties, drastically implementing site clearance for projects and urban beautification; Implement well the budget collection solutions with many measuresDrastic measures, strict management of revenue sources. Along with that, do a good job of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and ensuring security and order; strengthen inspection and inspection activities; proactively, promptly, drastically, and synchronously deploy solutions to prevent and control epidemics.
