Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and delegates visit the factory model
Haphofood factory is located in the Tien Lang District Industrial Cluster, which plays an important role in connecting with the fruit and vegetable raw material areas of the Red River Delta in particular and the Northern region in general. Haphofood can also easily trade exported goods to other countries through accessing Hai Phong's container port system by sea.
Mr. Pham Ngo Quoc Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lavifood Joint Stock Company, said that Hai Phong has a prime location, convenient both by road and waterway to build a factory and become a logistics center of the fruit and vegetable industry value chain. There will be a warehouse system with a capacity of 150,000 tons. Haphofood factory will easily cooperate with farmers in the Northern region to develop growing areas, transport raw materials to the factory and distribute products, not only by road but also by sea and air. When completed and put into operation, the factory will purchase high-quality raw materials from farmers in the area to produce products: concentrated fruit juice, frozen fruit, and vegetables.frozen, processed fresh vegetables (leafy vegetables), dried fruits (crispy, soft, cold), canned juice, bottled juice.
The factory has 6 modern production lines imported entirely from Europe. The entire production process is closed with strict regulations and 80% automation. The rest of the process is semi-automatic and manual in stages such as fruit selection, cutting, peeling, and shaping. Haphofood not only contributes to promoting Hai Phong's economic development, creating jobs, but also minimizes and stops the dumping of agricultural products because of low prices and risks from traders, helping to improve the value of Vietnamese agricultural products and increase sustainable income for Northern farmers in particular and Vietnamese farmers in general.

Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung said that Hai Phong has nearly 1 million people living in rural areas, but the agricultural sector alone only accounts for 5% of the total production value of the city. Therefore, the city is very interested in agriculture, farmers and the countryside; Especially in recent years, the city has invested more than 10 trillion VND in rural areas to build infrastructure and build new rural areas. By the end of 2019, the city will have 100% of communes and more than 40% of districts basically completing the criteria for new rural areas.
The city is also particularly interested in calling on Lavifood Group to invest in a fruit and vegetable processing factory with the goal of: Creating a stable and unlimited place for farmers to consume agricultural products, with many different product types, serving the restructuring of crops; creating conditions for farmers to switch from small-scale production to commodity production, eliminating the current situation of "good harvest - falling prices". Besides, it also helps farmers in the Northern region change their crop structure and apply advanced technologies in crop production.
