According to the report of the District People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2019, the district's economy maintained growth momentum, the production value of all industries reached 3,911.5 billion VND, equal to 51% of the plan; The economic structure has shifted strongly, the production value of the tourism - service industry group reached 3,018 billion VND, equal to 52% of the plan; The total number of tourists reached 1,565,000, equal to 58% of the plan, of which international visitors reached 442,600; Local budget revenue reached 283,591 billion VND, equal to 112% of the city estimate and 109% of the district estimate. Cultural and social fields continue to receive attention and emphasis. The work of ensuring social security and taking care of families and policy beneficiaries is implemented thoughtfully and promptly, creating trust and excitement among the people.n. Political security and social order and safety are maintained. The 2019 theme of the city and district is focused on good implementation; Accelerate the progress of compensation, support site clearance and promptly resolve difficulties and problems arising during the implementation of large projects in the area, ensuring environmental hygiene in the bays. Cat Hai district People's Council also approved the task of continuing to focus highly and effectively implement the 2019 theme of Cat Hai city and district. In particular, the district strives to comprehensively complete budget revenue targets; Speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance support for key construction projects in the district; Strengthen the implementation and disbursement of the 2019 public investment plan, continue to carry out construction and complete some remaining items of the Investment Project to build a road connecting Zone 1 - Tung Dinh Bay, the Investment Project of Ang Cha Solid Waste Treatment Area (phase 1). Speed up the construction progress of the Cat Hai Island resettlement area project (phase 1) and the resettlement area in Hung Son residential group (Cat Ba town)... At the meeting, the district People's Council delegates voted unanimously to pass 8 important Resolutions on: tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security in the last 6 months of 2019; Approve the state budget settlement of Cat Hai district in 2018; Adjusting the State budget estimate of Cat Hai district in 2019; Adjusting the 5-year medium-term public investment plan for the period 2016 - 2020 (3rd time); Adjusting the 2019 Public Investment Capital Allocation Plan; Expected adjustment of Cat Hai district public investment plan in 2020 (1st time); Adjusting the Phu Long freshwater reservoir and domestic water supply irrigation system investment project and the 2019 monitoring program of the District People's Council.
