(Haiphong.gov.vn) – In the atmosphere of emulating achievements to welcome the 18th District Party Congress, on the morning of July 2, the XIX People's Council of An Duong district for the 2016-2021 term held the 14th session to decide on many important contents to promote the district's socio-economic development.

At the meeting, the District People's Council reviewed and discussed reports on the results of implementing socio-economic development, defense - security tasks in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions in the last 6 months of 2020; 2019 district budget finalization; Adjusting the District Public Investment Plan 2020 (2nd time); Adjusting the 5-year medium-term public plan 2016 - 2020 of An Duong district (7th time); Expected district public investment plan in 2021; the second expected 5-year medium-term public investment plan 2021 - 2025 An Duong district; Review general reports, respond to opinions and recommendations of voters, people and reports of judicial agencies according to law.
Also at the meeting, the District People's Council continued to exercise direct supervision through questioning by People's Council delegates of district People's Committee members and heads of related sectors; Dismiss and elect additional members of the District People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

In the first 6 months of the year, the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district along with all levels, branches and localities focused on carrying out the "dual task" of both effectively preventing and combating the COVID-19 epidemic and developing socio-economic development. The results achieved are outstanding: the socio-economic situation is stable, there are progressive changes, the total state budget revenue is 484,185 billion VND, equal to 106% over the same period; Total budget expenditure is 352,378 billion VND, equal to 139.5% over the same period; The district focuses on prioritizing resources to implement the national target program on building new rural areas, receiving attention and investment in infrastructure; site clearance work for urban roads, Nam Cau Binh intersection and many lake collection projectsLand in the area is focused on implementation and completion; Some cultural and social fields have changed and innovated to meet the requirements of COVID-19 epidemic prevention.
