According to published statistics, the gross regional product (GRDP) at 2010 constant prices is estimated to increase by 10.87% in the first 6 months of 2020 over the same period last year, which is the lowest increase in the last 4 years. Of which: the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 1.98%, contributing 0.09 percentage points to the overall growth rate; The industry - construction sector increased by 19.41%, contributing 9.43 percentage points to the overall growth rate; The service sector increased by 2.07%, contributing 0.84 percentage points to the overall growth rate.
Industrial production development index in the first 6 months of 2020 increased by 14.02% compared to the same period in 2019, which is a quite high increase in the context of the world economy as well as the Vietnamese economy being heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic; The increase is the highest among major provinces and cities in the country, confirming that industrial production continues to be an important contributor to the overall growth of the city's economy.
The total area planted with annual crops in the Winter-Spring crop of 2020 in the whole city reached 43,835.1 hectares, equal to 92.25% compared to the Winter-Spring crop of 2019.
It is estimated that in June 2020, the number of cattle and poultry heads in the city is as follows: buffalo herd reached 4,402 heads, down 6.66% over the same period last year; The herd of cows reached 10,650 cows, down 11.6%. The poultry herd is estimated to reach 8,692.3 thousand heads, an increase of 4.18% over the same period last year, of which the chicken herd reached 6,501.2 thousand heads, an increase of 2.67%.

Total local budget expenditure in the first 6 months of 2020 reached 9,160.7 billion VND, equal to 103.9% over the same period last year, of which: development investment expenditure in local budget balance expenditure reached 3,517 billion VND, equal to 92.8%; Regular expenditure reached 4,897.7 billion VND, equal to 107.7%.

Fire and explosion prevention work, from the beginning of the year until now, in the city there have been 33 fires, equal to 68.75% compared to the same period in 2019, injuring 3 people, the estimated value of property damage is 8,137 million VND and 3.25 hectares of forest.
