(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of November 1, at the City Convention Center, a delegation of Japanese agencies and business organizations led by Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Kunio Umeda had a working visit to Hai Phong. Receiving the delegation were Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung; Representatives of VCCI Vietnam, leaders of departments, branches and related units.

At the meeting, Mr. Kunio Umeda, Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam, expressed his thanks for the respectful welcome of the city's leaders and emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation with Hai Phong recently. Appreciating the potential and advantages of Hai Phong city, the Ambassador hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
Ambassador Kunio Umeda said that Hai Phong has 143 Japanese enterprises coming to invest in production and business. In the coming time, the Japanese side will continue to inform Japanese businesses about the advantages and investment environment, especially the city's logistics sector. In addition to expanding economic investment, Ambassador Kunio Umeda hopes that the two sides will continue to promote cultural and social exchanges and cooperation, especially in the fields of education and Japanese language training at schools in Hai Phong.

At the same time, it was said that Japan is one of the largest investing countries in Hai Phong with the second largest investment capital.
