(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 26, the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the City Journalists Association to organize a conference to provide information and press briefings for the 35th week of 2021. Informing about the city's socio-economic situation at the Conference, Chief of Office of the City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tu said that from the beginning of the year until now, the city has well controlled the epidemic situation, not allowing it to spread in the city. In the first 7 months of the year, the index of industrial production (IIP) increased over 20% compared to the same period in 2020, 2.6 times the general increase of the country (7.9%); Total budget revenue reached over 53,000 billion VND, an increase of over 27% over the same period in 2020; The output of goods through the port in 7 months reached over 81 million tons, an increase of over 11% over the same period, equal to over 51% of the yearly plan; Attracting foreign investment FDI reached over 1.4 billion USD, 1.8 times higher than the same period in 2020, reaching nearly 58% of the year's plan...
