(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of September 16, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho and leaders of relevant functional branches, units and localities inspected the implementation status of the Rao 1 Bridge Construction Investment Project.
According to the report of the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects, there are still some problems in site clearance work. In Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong Road Construction Joint Stock Company has not yet moved; Hai An, Ngo Quyen and Le Chan districts are urgently focusing on resolving the problem, propagandizing and urging the handover of the site.
On the construction site, all construction workers are still making very concentrated efforts.
Regarding the construction of bridges and intersections, up to now the contractor consortium has completed 22/28 bridge piers and abutments; Construction is underway on the remaining 6 pillars and abutments. Casting of the main bridge concrete beams, 3/10 left and right spans completed, 5 spans under construction. At the right downbridge branch, 5/8 spans have been completed; The left branch completes 3/8 of the beat; The steel arch main span with a volume of nearly 3,000 tons is currently being manufactured at factories; Implementation value is estimated at 510 billion VND (equal to 51% of the contract).
The Vice President requested localities to continue to focus heavily on resolving land clearance work.
Through field inspection of the project and listening to reports from relevant departments, branches, localities and units, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho noted and assessed that up to this point the project's site clearance work has been carried out quickly and actively, basically achieving the milestones as directed by the city. The Vice Chairman praised the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board for recently coordinating closely with localities and consulting units and directing contractors to overcome difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic to actively implement project construction. Despite difficulties and impacts due to the slow arrival of steel materials from abroad, the demolition of the old Rao bridge to construct the main pillar T2 encountered obstacles.Obstacles, relocation of power lines, water pipes, and some problems in site clearance... however, all construction sites are still making very concentrated efforts.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho noted that during the construction process, quality and issues related to labor safety must be strictly controlled.
Emphasizing the direction that the project must be completed and put into use before January 25, 2022, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments, branches, localities and the Project Management Board to highly focus on site clearance work, urgently move the technical infrastructure system within the scope, and quickly hand over clean ground to the contractor to serve construction work. Request the Project Management Board to continue to coordinate closely with the contractor and supervision consulting unit to organize construction properly, compensate for delayed items to complete according to the overall project schedule.
