(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 29, Thai - Holding Joint Stock Company and Bayview Cat Ba Co., Ltd. coordinated to organize the topping out ceremony of CT 3A and CT 4B Apartment buildings under the Social Housing Project at Lac Vien General Warehouse 3 (No. 142 Le Lai), Ngo Quyen district and the inauguration ceremony of a new ferry transporting public passengers from Cat Hai island to Cat Ba island.

The Social Housing Project at Lac Vien Warehouse 3 is an important project, aiming to realize the goal of urban development and embellishment along with ensuring social security, solving housing problems for households living in old, dangerously degraded apartment buildings in the city. The project has a scale of thousands of apartments for sale and rent to realize the social housing development goal of Hai Phong city; At the same time, ensuring the goal of developing housing area in Ngo Quyen district, meeting the housing needs of people, especially people in old apartments in Ngo Quyen and Hong Bang districts. The project also ensures environmental requirements, creating landscape for existing urban residential areas; Improve land use efficiency, save moneyurban land and provide focused services to serve people's lives, contributing to ensuring social security in the city.
>After more than 1 year of actively implementing construction, on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Investor Thai Holding Joint Stock Company and contractor Hoa Binh Construction Group solemnly held the Topping Out Ceremony of CT3 and CT4 of the Social Housing Project at Lac Vien Warehouse 3.
Mr. Do Trung Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Holding Joint Stock Company spoke at the topping out ceremony.
Speaking at the topping out ceremony, Mr. Do Trung Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Holding Joint Stock Company said that the project has been approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 2212 dated July 8, 2022 with a planning area of 16.91 hectares. Total investment capital is about 4,865 billion VND, scale of 10 apartment buildings with 15 floors high with a total number of apartments about 4,456 units and 163 Shophouse units with a height of 6 floors and one tum.
On March 7, 2023, the project was officially started construction. Up to now, after 17 months of construction, a number of construction items have been basically completed as planned. During the implementation of the project, Thai - Holding Joint Stock Company coordinated with competent authorities and contractors to carry out acceptance of project items according to schedule and regulations.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai Holding Joint Stock Company affirmed that to meet the needs and desires of the people of Hai Phong city, Thai Holding Joint Stock Company is determined to soon put two 15-storey apartment buildings topping out today into operation and use, ensuring the right purpose and efficiency.

BayView Cat Ba Ferry Inauguration
In recent years, especially on weekends and holidays, the number of tourists coming to Cat Ba has increased, leading to great traffic pressure at the ferry terminals to and from Cat Ba island. Frequent congestion at wharfs during rush hours and peak days affects the tourism image of Hai Phong city. Faced with that situation, in order to reduce congestion and improve the quality of tourism services for Hai Phong. These include measures to put the new Dong Bai ferry terminal into operation from March 1, 2024, replacing the Got ferry terminal 4km away, continuing the mission of transporting people, tourists and vehicles from the mainland through Lach Huyen to Cat Ba island (Cat Hai district) and vice versa.

With modern facilities and higher transportation capacity, putting the new Dong Bai ferry terminal into operation is expected to eliminate congestion at the ferry terminal, especially during peak periods, creating convenience for people and tourists when coming to Cat Ba island.
Along with the new ferry terminal, the city is building 5 new, modern and comfortable Bayview ferries, numbered from 01 to 05 to serve Dong Bai ferry terminal with a total investment of more than 130 billion VND, maximum ferry speed of 12 miles. The average running time between the two stops is 10 minutes. Each ferry can carry a maximum of 500 passengers, 9 47-seat passenger cars and 40 two-wheeled motorbikes./.
