(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of November 14, the City People's Committee held a meeting of the Working Group to urge and combat tax loss in FDI enterprises, contractors, capital construction tax and the Working Group to urge and prevent loss of export and import tax revenue. Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired the meeting. In attendance were members of two working groups to urge and combat tax loss.

According to a report from the City Tax Department, currently in the city there are 596 FDI enterprises (an increase of 75 enterprises compared to December 31, 2018) operating in industrial parks and economic zones. Accumulated in the first 10 months of 2019, the total domestic budget revenue of the FDI enterprise sector reached 3,983 billion VND, reaching 132.8% of the ordinance estimate, 112.6% of the People's Council estimate, equal to 132% over the same period. This is an area with a higher growth rate than the central state-owned enterprise sector and local state-owned enterprises.
For foreign contractors operating in construction in the city, in the past 10 months, the state budget has received 1,942 billion VND, an increase of 128.7%. Through many urging measures such as bank account enforcement, debt collection through third parties, etc., construction enterprises have paid 26.5 billion VND in tax debt to the budget. Private capital construction activities and foreign contractor tax in foreign provinces over 10 months earned nearly 374 billion VND.
As of November 11, 2019, the Customs Department reported that state budget revenue in the Hai Phong area was 52,063 billion VND, reaching 129.2% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, an increase of 35% over the same period in 2018. Of which, revenue from preventing import-export tax loss was 647 billion VND. Debt collection and settlement work is 374 billion VND; anti-revenue loss through post-customs clearance inspection of 113 billion VND; Anti-revenue loss through inspection and consultation to determine taxable value of 118 billion VND.
After listening to the reports of the City Tax Department and Hai Phong City Customs Department, and the opinions of members of the Working Groups to urge and combat tax loss, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh acknowledged the efforts of the City Tax Department, Hai Phong City Customs Department and members of the Working Groups to urge and combat tax loss. In particular, it has urged tax collection to increase over the same period in FDI enterprises and import and export tax collection. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City People's Committee Office to advise and propose additional members of the Working Group to urge and combat tax loss in FDI enterprises, contractors, basic construction tax and the Working Group to combat export tax loss.import. Departments and branches that are members of the Working Group enhance coordination and timely exchange of information, ensure the work of urging and preventing tax loss in assigned areas to be highly effective, and promote the collection of outstanding debts to increase budget revenue for infrastructure investment and ensure social security policies, contributing to the city's socio-economic development.
