(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 9, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong received a delegation from Phong Thanh Cang city, Guangxi (China), led by comrade Tran Quang Quynh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Mayor of the city, who visited and worked in Hai Phong.

Sharing with the delegation some information about socio-economic development achievements, as well as introducing the business investment environment and potential strengths of Hai Phong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized: in terms of investment attraction potential, Hai Phong has established 14 Industrial Parks, basically all Industrial Parks are filled. In the coming time, the city will continue to focus on developing 20 new industrial parks with a total area of more than 7,000 hectares. The city has submitted to the Prime Minister the establishment of Hai Phong Southern Coastal Economic Zone with an area of about 20,000 hectares - a multi-sector 3.0 generation ecological economic zone, focusing on high-tech industry, seaports, modern logistics and smart urban areas. By 2030, Khu KinhThe southern coastal economy of Hai Phong will become the new main driving force for development of the whole region, accelerating the realization of goals and targets for construction and development of Hai Phong and the entire Red River Delta region. Currently, the city has more than 100 projects from investors from 39 countries and territories. Investors from China ranked first in the number of projects (422 projects) and ranked second in investment capital (6.46 billion USD). Hai Phong and Phong Thanh Cang are not far from each other and have convenient transportation, however the two sides have not had many exchange and cooperation activities. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong hopes that this delegation's business trip will be a premise for the two cities to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all fields.
