(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 2, the National Assembly's working delegation led by Comrade Phung Quoc Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly visited and worked at the Vinfast Factory complex in Cat Hai district. Accompanied by members of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee; Phan Xuan Dung, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Science, Technology and Environment Committee; Tran Van Tuy, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegates Working Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee and representatives of leaders of the Ministries: Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, and Transport.

Vinfast automobile factory was started in September 2017; After more than 1 year of operation, on November 3, 2018, Vinfast inaugurated the electric motorbike factory, launched products and opened for sale the first model under the "Klara" brand. The factory completed trial production of the first Lux SUV on March 6, 2019 and on March 20, 2019 sent 155 Lux cars abroad for testing. It is expected to bring automobile products to the market in the second quarter of 2019. Vinfast has also signed cooperation agreements with many large automobile manufacturers in the industry such as GM, BMW... and also set aside a large-scale supporting industrial park to invite strategic partners to invest in building long-term relationships... Besides, Vinfast alsoEstablished the largest professional vocational training center in Southeast Asia according to German standards, including 2 main training areas: industrial mechanics and mechatronics, with 200 students registered each year, training period of 2.5 years.
Speaking at the working session with Vinfast Factory, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien highly appreciated Vingroup's determination to invest in Hai Phong city in the field of automobile manufacturing and expressed his joy that after 18 months, the first product bearing the Vietnamese brand was brought to the market. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the survey team has had research trips on the development of mechanical manufacturing in Vietnam, and the Vinfast factory complex is moving in a direction consistent with Vietnam's mechanical development strategy.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that Vingroup and the Vinfast factory complex must continue to invest in research, master science and technology, and raise the high creativity index in the mechanical industry; have a research basis to continue improving quality; In addition to linking with foreign partners, also strengthen links with Vietnamese mechanical enterprises to develop supporting industries; must follow the direction of clean, environmentally friendly industry...
Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Le Van Thanh spoke at the meeting
Speaking at the meeting, City Party Secretary Le Van Thanh said that in the past 3 years, Hai Phong city has created favorable conditions for Vingroup to invest in many key areas in the city such as tourism, urban development, hotels, healthcare, education and high-tech agriculture. All fields invested in by the Group in the city have been effective, deployed at a fast pace, received the attention of the city and received unanimous support from the people. The city will continue to create conditions for the Group to build infrastructure to invest in supporting factories for the Vinfast factory.
Comrade Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Van Thanh also requested that the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and central branches in the coming time continue to pay attention to having appropriate policy mechanisms so that Vinfast can bring more success not only to the Group but also to contribute to the industrialization and modernization of the country and city.
