(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of January 6, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan inspected the progress of implementation of technical infrastructure investment projects in the new urban area North of Cam River. Also participating in the inspection were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

Up to this point, the investment project to build technical infrastructure for the new urban area North of Cam River has completed the construction of items and works: Hoang Van Thu bridge, internal roads, lighting, tree planting, road sign system, paint lines, road markings, river embankment works on the south bank. Resettlement areas A, C, D have been completed with 1,354 plots of land. Currently, the Project Management Board is urgently constructing and soon completing resettlement area B (phase 2).
The project has a total land area of 306.1 hectares recovered from 15 organizations and 2,778 households, of which 1,290 households have residential land and land for housing. To date, Thuy Nguyen district has conducted an inventory of 1,250 households, approved compensation plans for 1,010 households, 554 households have received compensation support, 547 households have received resettlement land and 393 households have demolished and handed over the site. The actual area of site clearance that has been constructed is about 257 hectares, of which the City People's Committee has decided to hand over (phase 1) to the Investor to implement the project is 220 hectares. Currently, the locality is focusing heavily on site clearance work for 7 priority points and surrounding areas under the direction of the City People's Committee.

Through inspection and listening to reports, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan acknowledged the efforts of Thuy Nguyen district and related branches and units in recent times. However, the project is still behind schedule requirements, affecting the construction of works under the project. To ensure the progress of the project, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Project Management Board to urgently complete the remaining items of the resettlement areas, especially the connecting traffic routes. The Departments of Finance, Construction, Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, and Finance enhance the sense of responsibility, continue to coordinate, support, and guide Thuy Nguyen district to advise and propose for the city to soon issue a mechanism.policies to support, compensate, and arrange resettlement, ensuring maximum legal rights and interests of households. Thuy Nguyen district urgently collects detailed statistics on all cases requesting land allocation for resettlement for the city to consider. For cases that have received support and compensation money but have not yet handed over the premises, the district needs to strengthen propaganda and advocacy so that people can hand over the premises soon. Regarding the 16 cases where enforcement measures must be applied, the locality continues to advocate for people to voluntarily hand over the premises to serve the construction of items and works of the project.
