(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 28, the Party Committee of Hai Phong Economic Zone organized a conference to summarize Party building work in 2024; Deploying directions, tasks, and focus in 2025. Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board attended and directed the Conference.

Up to now, the entire Party Committee has 7 grassroots Party committees (including 59 affiliated party cells) and 30 grassroots Party cells with a total of 1,202 party members. There are 71 enterprises established as Party organizations, which have made important contributions to carrying out political tasks in general and the task of attracting investment into Industrial Parks and Economic Zones in particular.
In 2024, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Party Committee has comprehensively completed all aspects of Party building work, with a number of targets and tasks being completed beyond the set level. The work of propaganda, thorough understanding and implementation of Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and the City Party Committee is paid attention to. During the year, the Party Committee organized 3 political theory training classes for more than 500 elite people, and 2 political theory training classes for 190 new party members. The entire Party Committee has admitted 213 new party members (reaching 112% of the target assigned by the City Party Committee, reaching 349% of the target according to Resolution 28), of which 212 (99.5%) of the newly admitted party members are workers and employees at enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones; 12/11 Party organizations have been established (reaching 109.1% of the target). The order and quality of Party cell activities have been raised one step higher. The quality of cadres, especially grassroots-level cadres, has seen positive changes. Inspection and supervision work is guaranteed according to regulations. Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the Economic Zone's political organizations have successfully completed their tasks, implementing many grassroots-oriented movements and activities, attracting a large number of union members and members to participate. Regarding the preparation and organization of the 5th Hai Phong Economic Zone Party Congress, term 2025-2030 towards the 17th City Party Congress, the Party Committee has organized professional training on Party work and professional work on organizing Party Congresses at all levels for Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of Party cells and grassroots Party Committees.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, acknowledged the results achieved by the Party Committee of Hai Phong Economic Zone in 2024 with many targets and tasks completed beyond the set level, especially the establishment of Party organizations and admission of party members. However, compared to the number of businesses in Industrial Parks and Economic Zones and the current number of workers, it is necessary to make more efforts in the coming time to focus on propagandizing business owners about the benefits and effectiveness of Party-organized enterprises.
Regarding the tasks in 2025, the Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board emphasized that in 2025, the focus is on organizing Party Congresses at all levels, so the Party Committee of Hai Phong Economic Zone needs to focus on leading and directing the Party Cells and grassroots Party Committees to successfully organize the Congress of the term towards the 4th Party Congress of the Hai Phong Economic Zone, term 2025 - 2030; Develop a plan to foster Party work skills for the team of party cell secretaries and deputy secretaries; continue to do a good job of developing party members and establishing new Party organizations, enlisting the support of business owners, creating favorable conditions for Party organizations to operate; Actively participate in investment promotion propaganda activities; Focus on propaganda on implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Government on continuing to innovate and organize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
