Announcing decisions on the arrangement of Hai Phong city construction investment project management boards

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of May 2, at the City Convention Center, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh chaired the Conference to announce the Decisions on the arrangement of the Management Boards of construction investment projects in Hai Phong city.

According to the Decision of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, consolidate and change the name of the Urban Development Construction Project Management Board to the Urban Development Project Management and Civil Works Construction Investment Board under the City People's Committee; Merged the Regional Project Management Board of Transportation Works into the Hai Phong Bridge Projects Management Board and changed its name to the Hai Phong Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board under the City People's Committee. Accordingly, the organizational structure, number of employees and contract workers, operating costs, headquarters, assets, records and documents related to the organization and operations of the old Management Boards will be merged into the new Management Board.

Today, the City People's Committee also announced the Decision to convert and appoint the positions of General Director and Deputy General Director of Hai Phong City Construction Investment Project Management Boards of the Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Handing over the Appointment Decision to the General Director and Deputy General Director

At the Board of Management of Urban Development Projects and Construction Investment of Civil Works, appointed Mr. Ta Viet Dong, Director of the Board of Management of Urban Development Construction Projects as General Director, appointment term is 5 years from May 1, 2019; Appointed Mr. Do Huu Hung, Deputy Director of Urban Development Project Management Board as Deputy General Director, appointment term is 5 years from May 1, 2019.

At the Management Board of Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Projects, appointed Mr. Do Tuan Anh, General Director of Hai Phong Bridge Project Management Board to hold the position of General Director, appointment period of 5 years from May 1, 2019; Appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy General Director of Hai Phong Bridge Project Management Board to hold the position of Deputy General Director, from May 1, 2019 until full retirement age; Appointed Dao Sy Ngoc, Deputy General Director of Hai Phong Bridge Project Management Board to hold the position of Deputy General Director, appointment term is 5 years from May 1, 2019.

Speaking at the Conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh said that merging and consolidating the Management Boards according to the policies of the State and Government is a must-do to consolidate and streamline the apparatus to create better efficiency in the city's upcoming work. During the past years, the Management Boards have operated effectively and made important contributions to the management of key construction projects in the city.

The Standing Vice Chairman requested the leaders of the two new Management Boards to seriously carry out the handover of records, documents, and tasks to receive, operate, and effectively deploy the tasks assigned by the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, without letting the merger delay work; We request the leaders of relevant departments, branches and units to proactively help, guide, supervise and urge the two new Management Boards to carry out the reception strictly and seriously; We ask the two new General Directors to continue to contribute their experience in operating and directing to help the Management Boards successfully complete the tasks assigned by the city's leaders.
