(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of April 23, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh inspected the preparations to start the Hoa River Bridge Construction Investment Project. Also attending were leaders of the Departments of Transport, Construction, Finance, City Police, and Vinh Bao District People's Committee.

The investment project to build Hoa River Bridge was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 869/QD-UBND dated April 10, 2019 and assigned to the Hai Phong Bridge Projects Management Board. The project was identified by the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee as a key project of the city in 2019.
According to the Management Board's report, regarding the site, the Management Board is coordinating with the People's Committee of Vinh Bao district to prepare the site to hold the Groundbreaking Ceremony, expected to be completed at the end of April 2019; Regarding mine clearance, currently the 3rd Military Command has assigned functional units to organize the implementation; The Prime Minister has issued document No. 273/TTg-CN allowing the People's Committee of Hai Phong city to build a permanent bridge to replace the Hoa River pontoon bridge.
Speaking on the ground, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh commented that this is a project jointly implemented by the two Standing Committees of Hai Phong City Party Committee and Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and is the first project in implementing Resolution 45 of the Politburo to implement regional connectivity for socio-economic development tasks.
The Standing Vice Chairman requested the Project Management Board, Vinh Bao District People's Committee and other Departments and branches to focus on site clearance work; Prepare well the procedures; Preparations for the Groundbreaking Ceremony must be done carefully; and after starting construction, you can immediately begin construction to ensure project progress.
