(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 18, Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation received a courtesy visit from the US Embassy in Vietnam. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

At the meeting, Mr. Marc E. Knapper, US Ambassador to Vietnam, thanked the city's leaders for the respectful welcome and said that he had just returned to work in Vietnam as Ambassador, this was the first time he came to Hai Phong city with the desire to learn about the city and seek better cooperation opportunities in the future.
Currently in Hai Phong city, there are 12 investment projects of US investors with a total registered investment capital of 122.9 million USD, accounting for 1.48% of the projects and 0.53% of the valid investment capital. Among 42 countries and territories investing in the city, US investors ranked 9th in number of projects and 10th in investment capital. The main investment fields are in industrial production, the rest are in real estate business.
