(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Tomorrow, May 13, 2022, the Ben Rung bridge project connecting Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city with Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province across Da Bach river will officially start.
This is a group B traffic project, a special level road bridge project, with the scale of new construction of Ben Rung bridge with permanent structure across Da Bach river. The bridge length is about 1,865.3m, the main bridge and approach bridge are 21.5m wide; The main bridge consists of 4 Extradosed spans with a plan of (90+2×160+90)m; The bridge section includes 34 spans of superT beams; Abutments and bridge piers are made of reinforced concrete, foundations use bored piles; design load HL93; Navigation size BxH=2x(85×11)m. Construct a path at both ends of the bridge with a length of about 410m; The roadbed cross-section is 22.5m wide, including: 04 motor vehicle lanes, 2 mixed lanes, safety strip, median strip, unreinforced sidewalk. Install lighting systems, waterway and road signs according to current standards.
Total project investment is more than 1,900 billion VND, from the Central budget, Hai Phong city budget and Quang Ninh province budget (cost of site clearance for the bridge part in Quang Ninh province).

Ben Rung Bridge has an important significance in linking the region. Through this transport axis, it will shorten the geographical distance between urban areas such as Quang Yen, Uong Bi, Thuy Nguyen... along with the inland waterway system and seaway, creating a continuous transport system, creating a driving force for symbiotic development in commodity trade, in the supply of human resources, contributing to improving the economic and social efficiency of the two economic zones. The most dynamic coastal economies in the North today are Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone of Hai Phong and Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone of Quang Ninh province.
The project will be constructed from May 2022 - May 2024.
