On the morning of September 14, 2026, the Department of Finance, in collaboration with the City Business Association and HPM Entrepreneurship Academy, organized a Seminar titled "Hai Phong Entrepreneurial Culture - Wisdom - Bravery - Humanity." The Seminar was attended by nearly 400 delegates representing businesses and entrepreneurs in Hai Phong city, along with experts and speakers from the Institute of Business Culture.
The Seminar was organized to implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, creating a forum for discussion on building and maintaining business ethics and culture within enterprises; contributing to the formation of standards consistent with the development requirements of businesses and the entrepreneurial community of Hai Phong in the new era.
Currently, Hai Phong city has 54,550 legally active businesses, an increase of 17.06% compared to the same period. In 2025, the private economic sector contributed 41.8% to the city's GRDP, with a growth rate of 10.3%, creating jobs for 64.32% of the total workforce. In the first 8 months of 2026, the private economic sector contributed 63.4% to domestic budget revenue. The city's business and entrepreneurial community also actively participates in social welfare activities, disaster prevention, and contributes to major city events.
In the context of increasingly deep economic integration, the demands on businesses are growing. Management, financial, technological capabilities, and product quality need to be placed alongside reputation, brand, and the trust of customers and partners. Business ethics and culture have become an important part of corporate development strategy, linked to governance, brand building, human resource development, and social responsibility.
The discussions at the Seminar focused on the core values of entrepreneurial culture, including legal compliance, honesty, transparency, trustworthiness, fair competition, respect for customers, partners, and employees, fulfilling community responsibilities, and promoting the exemplary role of leaders.
The Seminar also placed corporate culture in relation to the city's investment and business environment. Hai Phong is accelerating administrative procedure reform, digital transformation, improving the quality of services for citizens and businesses, strengthening dialogue, resolving difficulties, and accompanying businesses. Hai Phong city is leading the country in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index).
The business community's efforts to build a professional, transparent, responsible, and trustworthy business environment contribute to strengthening market confidence, enhancing competitiveness, and creating a foundation for sustainable development.
With the theme "Wisdom - Bravery - Humanity," the Seminar contributed to spreading good values within the Hai Phong entrepreneurial community, aiming to build a team of entrepreneurs with competence, courage, responsibility, and a desire for development; simultaneously strengthening the bond between state management agencies and the business community, creating momentum to promote strong private economic development in the new era./.
