Export and import situation:
Exports of the foreign invested sector (including crude oil) in the first 6 months of 2015 reached 54.88 billion USD, up 15.3% over the same period in 2014 and accounting for 71% of total export turnover. Imports of the foreign investment sector in the first 6 months of 2015 reached 48.8 billion USD, up 22.5% over the same period in 2014 and accounting for 60% of total import turnover. Overall, in the first 6 months of 2015, the foreign investment sector had a trade surplus of 6.07 billion USD.
According to reports received, as of June 20, 2015, the whole country had 757 new projects granted Investment Certificates with a total registered capital of 3.83 billion USD, equal to 79% compared to the same period in 2014. There were 281 projects registered to increase investment capital with a total additional registered capital of 1.65 billion USD, equal to 83% compared to the same period in 2014.

Real estate business ranked second with 11 newly registered projects and 7 capital increase projects with a total newly registered and increased investment capital of 465.5 million USD, accounting for 8.5% of total investment capital. Ranked third is the Wholesale, Retail and Repair sector with 119 new investment projects and 26 capital increase projects, total newly registered and increased investment capital is 276.5 million USD.

Korea leads with a total newly registered and increased investment capital of 1.52 billion USD, accounting for 27.7% of total investment capital in Vietnam. By investment area:
In the first 6 months of 2015, foreign investors invested in 42 provinces and cities, of which Ho Chi Minh City was the locality that attracted the most foreign investment capital with a total newly registered and increased investment capital of 1.12 billion USD, accounting for 20.5% of the total registered investment capital. Dong Nai ranked second with a total newly registered and increased capital of 1.03 billion USD, accounting for 18.8%. Hai Phong ranked third with a total newly registered and increased capital of 433.7 million USD, accounting for 7.9%.
