(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Within the framework of a business trip to the United States and Canada, on the morning of October 9, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong and the city's delegation had a working session with the Vietnamese Consulate General in San Francisco.

The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco emphasized the role of Vietnamese diplomatic agencies in the United States in creating favorable conditions for localities like Hai Phong to find technology partners, promote investment and promote cooperation in the field of Science and Technology. The consulate also pledged to provide maximum support to Hai Phong in establishing communication and cooperation channels with partners in Silicon Valley (High-tech center of the world) to bring long-term cooperation and investment opportunities to the city.

Speaking within the framework of the meeting, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Quang Tuan said that in the process of implementing Resolution 45 of the Politburo on developing Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the city determined that science, technology and innovation are the foundation and key driving force for the sustainable and comprehensive development of the city. The city has been making efforts to build and implement innovation and technology transfer programs to promote innovation through three main pillars: High technology, logistics and seaports.
