On the morning of April 12, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee worked with Geleximco Group on investing in the Dragon Hill International Tourist Area Project in Van Huong ward, Do Son district and a number of projects in the city. From the results of field surveys, Geleximco Group plans to invest in the Dragon Hill International Tourist Area project with an area of nearly 500 hectares on the sea surface leveling platform in Van Huong ward, Do Son district, oriented to develop with modern international standards including the main functions of a conference and ecological tourism urban area, high-class resort housing for tourism; 5-star hotel; entertainment areas, golf courses and other services. At the same time, the Group also carried out the necessary conditions, researching investment in a solid waste treatment plant using waste incineration technology to generate electricity in Thuy Nguyen district with a capacity of 2,000 tons/day, treating household waste, industrial waste, medical waste, etc.With a total investment of about 200 million USD; Using the most advanced combustion technology with energy recovery today according to Hitachi technology (Japan). The Group is committed to having sufficient financial and technical capacity and experience in successfully implementing many environmentally friendly waste-to-energy projects; ready to deploy projects immediately after being approved and licensed by the city, ensuring the project goes into operation as soon as possible.

After listening to the reports and opinions of the delegates, City Party Secretary Le Van Thanh highly appreciated the investment plan of Geleximco Group in Hai Phong. Regarding the Dragon Hill project, he requested the City People's Committee to direct branches and coordinate with Do Son district to urgently complete the conditions on planning, land area and connection infrastructure investment, so that Geleximco Group can start the project as soon as possible. Regarding the solid waste treatment plant using waste incineration technology to generate electricity, he requested relevant sectors, localities and units to continue to review the field, carefully research plans on land use and environmental protection, and work with Geleximco Group to complete investment procedures.
