(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Within the framework of the working program in China, on August 7, the city's leadership delegation led by comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city, attended the Investment Promotion Conference of Hai Phong city in China in 2024 and worked with leaders of Shenzhen city, Guangdong province.
In attendance were comrade Nguyet Viet Dung, Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, China; Members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of the city's departments, branches and branches.

Realizing economic, trade and investment cooperation
Speaking at the opening of the Investment Promotion Conference with the participation of more than 300 Chinese and Vietnamese businesses, the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized: This is the first time Hai Phong city has organized an Investment Promotion Conference in China, right at the time the two countries are approaching the 75th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. For many years, Hai Phong city has twinned with the Chinese cities of Tianjin, Nanning, and Kunming and built a very good cooperative and friendly relationship. Hai Phong city always values Chinese businesses, especially businesses from Shenzhen city. At the same time, China is identified as a top priority, key and strategic market in the process of cooperation and promoting economic, trade and investment exchanges.
To date, Hai Phong city has 405 investment projects from China with a total capital of 6.14 billion USD (including mainland China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China). Currently, Hai Phong has 2 industrial parks invested by Chinese investors: An Duong Industrial Park invested by Shenzhen Holdings Group and Do Son Industrial Park. Chinese enterprises annually export 5.34 billion USD, using employing 58,000 workers, contributing to the city's socio-economic development.
Along with that, the City Party Secretary also informed Chinese businesses and investors about Hai Phong's potential and outstanding strengths in transportation and industrial park infrastructure development, in which Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone is the most successful economic zone in Vietnam. Currently, Hai Phong is establishing a Southern Coastal Economic Zone with a scale of 20,000 hectares in a green and ecological direction, which will bring many advantages to investors coming to Hai Phong.
Congratulations to Hai Phong city for coordinating with Chinese units and organizations to organize a large-scale investment promotion conference in Shenzhen city. Comrade Nguyen Viet Dung, Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou emphasized: Vietnam has signed and participated in 16 FTAs, continuing to be a destination for foreign investors, including Chinese investors, especially businesses from Guangdong province. The Consulate General believes that after the Investment Promotion Conference of Hai Phong city in China in 2024, Vietnamese, Hai Phong and Chinese, Shenzhen and Guangdong businesses will find their partners for business cooperation, making practical contributions to promoting economic-trade and investment relations between Hai Phong city andGuangdong province in particular, and between Vietnam and China in general.

Also at the Conference, the Ceremony of awarding Investment Registration Certificates of Hai Phong city to 7 businesses with a total investment capital of nearly 200 million USD including: Flat Vietnam Company Limited; Ways Vietnam Technology Company Limited; CFL Holdings Limited; Yuekai Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., HMT Hai Phong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.; Fineworks International Company; Autel Vietnam Company Limited. At the same time, awarded a Memorandum of Understanding between Chinese businesses with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and industrial park infrastructure businesses in Hai Phong; announced the establishment of the Industrial Real Estate Consulting Center of Tham Viet Investment Company Limited in Hai Phong.
Increase exchange and sharing of experiences
On the afternoon of August 7, the delegation of city leaders and comrade Nguyen Viet Dung, Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, China met and worked with comrade Manh Pham Loi, Central Committee member of the Communist Party of China, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary of the Shenzhen City Party Committee.
Welcoming the Hai Phong City Delegation to the Investment Promotion Conference, Comrade Manh Pham Loi, Secretary of the Shenzhen Party Committee, assessed that the economic and social development achievements of Hai Phong city have many similarities in economic development, trade and investment exchange with Shenzhen. Comrade Manh Pham Loi emphasized: Over the past 40 years, Shenzhen has developed into a modern international metropolis, creating a miracle in the history of world development. At the same time, efforts are being made to build an economic center city with more global influence. In particular, accelerate the construction of an important world-leading advanced manufacturing center and centers such as: scientific and technical innovation center, consumer center, logistics center.ics and an important global financial center with global influence. Expressing his impression and congratulating the miraculous economic development achievements of the young city of Shenzhen, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized: To achieve outstanding achievements in recent times, the leadership role of the City Party Committee, the government, as well as the efforts of the people of Shenzhen are extremely important. Comrade Le Tien Chau affirmed the potential to attract investment, in addition to the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone and 14 industrial parks that are operating effectively. Comrade Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee also proposed that city leaders pay attention to reopening the Hai Phong-Shenzhen flight route to promote investment attraction, tourism development as well as meet demand.the wishes of investors and businesses in the two localities.
