On the morning of May 6, 2025, the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held a Ceremony to announce the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) for 2024. For the first time, Hai Phong city was recognized and evaluated by the business community as the locality holding the first position among 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
In the era of national advancement, the private economy is identified as the most important driving force of the national economy, a "leverage for a prosperous Vietnam". The mission of Hai Phong city is to be at the forefront of industrialization and modernization; become a modern international port city, on par with typical Asian cities. More than ever, City Leaders call on businesses and entrepreneurs to unite, be creative and determined to overcome challenges to improve competitiveness, master the domestic market and be able to reach regional and international levels.
