On the afternoon of February 25, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city held a conference to agree on the number of voter contact points, time, location and form of organizing the voter contact conference to serve the election campaign of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Comrade Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of the City Election Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Vu Tien Phung, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the City Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.
At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on balancing the number of contact points, arranging time, choosing an appropriate organizational form, ensuring that voter contact conferences are conducted democratically, openly, equally, in accordance with the law and close to local practical conditions.

Speaking in conclusion, Mr. Pham Van Lap acknowledged and appreciated the opinions expressing responsibility, closely following the Central Government's requirements and guiding documents, demonstrating a constructive spirit, and at the same time being linked to the actual conditions at the grassroots.
The City's Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee agreed to organize voter contact conferences in both face-to-face and online formats. For candidates for the 16th National Assembly, a voter contact conference will be held for 3 days, from March 4 to March 6, 2026. For candidates for the City People's Council for the 2026–2031 term, the event will be held in 3 days, from March 9 to March 11, 2026. According to the plan, by the end of March 11, 2026, all voter contact conferences will be completed to serve election campaign work.
To ensure that the Conferences take place smoothly and according to regulations, Mr. Pham Van Lap requested the Department of Science and Technology to strengthen coordination with VNPT Hai Phong to send officers and technicians to coordinate with the commune-level authorities (where the conference is expected to be held) to inspect, review, and fully prepare facilities, technical infrastructure, and transmission lines for online conferences. For localities that still have difficulty with infrastructure, it is necessary to promptly propose additional and overcome solutions, ensuring that conferences are organized on time, according to plan and with quality according to regulations.

The Department of Democracy and Social Criticism (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city) is assigned to appoint officers in charge of each election station and each commune-level unit to coordinate and carefully prepare organizational conditions. The city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has also planned to assign comrades to chair each conference, requesting assigned comrades to proactively prepare the content and run the conference to ensure seriousness and efficiency.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city requested socio-political organizations to strengthen direction of affiliated units, coordinate closely with local authorities to promote propaganda, mobilize people to fully participate, promote the spirit of responsibility, actively contribute opinions at voter contact conferences, contributing to the successful organization of Election Day, to truly become a great festival of the entire nation.
