(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 19, the Standing Committee of the People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city met to agree on the content of the 14th Session (Thematic Session) of the City People's Council, term XVI (term 2021 - 2026). Comrade Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Cao Xuan Lien, Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Vice Chairman of the People's Council, City People's Committee, leaders of Committees of the City People's Council and relevant departments and branches.
The 14th session is the thematic session of the XVI City People's Council, expected to take place on March 4, 2024, to carry out urgent work arising from the practical situation in the direction and management of the city's socio-economic development. At this meeting, the City People's Council is expected to consider and approve 8 contents submitted by the City People's Committee.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap emphasized that this is a very important meeting that needs to be carefully prepared. The workload is very large but the remaining time is not much. Therefore, we request the leaders of the City People's Committee to direct the Departments and branches to urgently review the contents, complete the documents in accordance with the provisions of law, ensure time progress, clearly understand the capital sources and feasibility of the projects, send them to the Committees of the City People's Council for verification according to the process, ensuring quality; At the same time, assign the City People's Council Committees to immediately verify the draft Resolution documents when transferred by the City People's Committee, ensuring progress and compliance with regulations./.
