December 14, 2017 The Eurasian Economic Union Commission (Domestic Market Protection Department) issued note No. 14-674 announcing the quantity of underwear (HS code 6107, 6108, 6207, 6208, 6112) and children's clothing (HS code 6111 20, 6111 30, 6111 90, 6209), imported from January to October 2017 into the Union territory, reached 173,330 kg and 112,732 kg and exceeded the trigger levels for 2017 prescribed under Annex 2 of the VN-EAEU FTA Agreement.
According to commitments in the EAEU FTA Agreement, when trigger levels are reached, the Union can apply threshold defense measures on relevant products for a period of about 6 months.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade notifies businesses exporting textiles and garments to the Union.
