On the afternoon of December 31, the city's working delegation included comrades: Le Ngoc Chau - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Anh Quan – Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee visited and encouraged tax officials and civil servants of Hai Phong city; State Treasury Region III and Customs Branch Region III perform the work of closing budget revenue and expenditure books at the end of the year.
Record numbers in fiscal year 2025
The year 2025 will mark a historic mark for the Port city's financial industry when the total state budget revenue (state budget) in the area reaches over 190,379 billion VND, exceeding 34.8% of the estimate. In particular, domestic budget revenue has made rapid progress when it first reached the mark of 103,879 billion VND, bringing Hai Phong to the 3rd position nationwide in terms of domestic budget size. This achievement not only exceeded the ordinance estimate and target, but also successfully completed the goal set by the Government's Resolution No. 230.
Notably, development took place evenly throughout the area when 114/114 communes, wards and special zones were completed exceeding the assigned estimates. This result is an important milestone, creating solid momentum for the city to successfully complete its socio-economic development plan for the period 2021–2025.
Advantage from import and export and effective disbursement of public investment
Along with the domestic sector, import-export activities also contribute greatly to the city's budget. The leader of the Customs Branch of Region III said that state budget revenue from this field is estimated at 86,500 billion VND, nearly 20,000 billion VND more than the plan. In addition, the collection of seaport infrastructure fees also achieved impressive results with 1,502 billion VND, equivalent to 111.3% of the target.
In the field of budget spending, the State Treasury Region III reported that the city's public investment capital disbursement rate reached a very high level with 37,600 billion VND, equal to 104.76% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Total budget expenditure reached 74,810 billion VND, ensuring resources for regular activities and key projects, contributing to improving people's lives.
Determined to create a solid financial foundation for 2026
On behalf of the city's leaders, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Le Anh Quan, warmly praised the consistent working spirit and tireless efforts of the staff and civil servants of the tax, customs and treasury units. He affirmed that this proud result is a solid financial foundation for the city to continue implementing key socio-economic development programs.
Entering 2026 with many challenges forecast, city leaders ask financial units to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, promoting administrative reform and digital transformation. Close coordination between agencies will be the key for Hai Phong to continue to complete and exceed budget targets next year, maintaining its position as a key growth pole of the country.
