Advise and propose socio-economic development strategies for the city

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of June 3, at the Department of Home Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, First Vice Chairman of the City Emulation and Commendation Council attended and chaired the Conference summarizing the 2018 emulation contract, signing the 2019 emulation contract. Also attending were representatives of leaders of units under Emulation block of general advisory agencies: Office of the People's Council, People's Committee, City Delegation of the National Assembly, Department of Finance, Department of Finance, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Internal Affairs, City Statistics Department.

At the Conference, the Department of Home Affairs awarded the 2019 Head of Unit rotation flag to the Department of Finance and the Emulation Block of general advisory agencies to sign the 2019 emulation contract.

Implementing the contents of the 2018 emulation covenant of the Emulation Block of the city's general advisory agencies signed on April 16, 2018, the units in the Block have deployed and concretized the emulation criteria into specific content. Emulation movements are associated with the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style", strengthening Party building and rectification; prevent and reverse deterioration in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; implement the city's 2018 theme; administrative procedure reform; Build a clean and strong Party, government and unions. The emulation movement of units in the Block is regularly paid attention to by unit leadersleadership, innovation in content and form of emulation, closely following the city's political tasks. Agencies and units in the Emulation Block closely follow the direction of the City Party Committee, National Assembly Delegation, People's Council, and City People's Committee; of ministries, central branches and agencies and units.

City leaders awarded certificates of merit to groups in the Emulation Block.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups: The City People's Committee Office has achieved outstanding achievements in completing work tasks in 2018; The City People's Council Office has had excellent achievements in advising, organizing and serving City People's Council meetings; The Department of Foreign Affairs has had achievements in successfully completing the task of promoting diplomatic work to serve the city's socio-economic development; The Department of Finance has had excellent achievements in budget and financial management tasks; The Department of Finance has had excellent achievements in attracting foreign investment in Hai Phong.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh highly appreciated the results of the emulation movement of the Emulation Block and congratulated the rewarded units. The Standing Vice Chairman commented that the role of the Emulation Block is very large and expressed his confidence that the Emulation Block will continue to make important contributions in the coming time, advising city leaders in the direction and management of the city's socio-economic development.
