(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 27, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho conducted a field trip along the entire route to check the implementation of the investment project to build a road connecting provincial road 354 through Kien Thuy Industrial Park to the coastal road in Doan Xa commune, Kien Thuy district. Also attending the work were leaders of functional branches, localities and related units.

At the meeting, leaders of the People's Committee of Kien Thuy district said that regarding the progress of construction items, including: organic excavation, sand embankment for road base, sand embankment to treat soft ground, construction of bridge and culvert items... up to now on the entire route, the progress has only reached over 52%. Currently, contractors are having difficulty importing sand, and the construction progress of bridges and culverts is not guaranteed as committed...

Through inspection of the entire route and listening to reports at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho acknowledged that the project clearance work has had many positive changes. Up to now, An Lao district has completed the clearance work, Kien Thuy district still has 01 household in Tan Trao commune that has not handed over the site.
However, up to this point, the project's construction progress is currently very slow compared to plan. To ensure the overall progress of the Project, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho requested Kien Thuy district to continue focusing on propaganda and advocacy, convincing the remaining households to agree and soon hand over the site to the contractor to construct the project. In case of disagreement, the district urgently completes the dossier and organizes enforcement to implement the land recovery decision according to regulations.

Emphasizing the direction that this is an important project in connecting the region, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho requested the Investor, Kien Thuy district, to review and require contractors to have measures to compensate for progress. In case the contractor continues to lag behind schedule, Kien Thuy district will close the file according to the provisions of law, report to competent authorities on violations by the enterprise, and publicize information about contractors violating progress.
The Vice Chairman also assigned An Lao district to coordinate with Kien Thuy district to focus on implementing investment procedures and constructing return works to ensure seriousness and quality; Along with that, strictly manage the cleared land and ensure traffic safety and environmental sanitation in project construction areas.
