Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho inspected the site at the construction site.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Focus on drastically directing site clearance and construction work so that the Project can progress well and ensure it stays on schedule and according to the set plan. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho concluded such instructions at the progress inspection of the Rao Bridge Construction Investment Project and site clearance work to serve the project's construction, on the afternoon of February 19. Also attending the work were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, functional branches and localities.
According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Rao Bridge Construction Investment Project has a total land area of 20.7 hectares, of which, serving the construction of bridges and intersections is 13.46 hectares; Construction of technical infrastructure on Lach Tray road of 7.24 hectares involving 381 households and 12 organizations in Anh Dung wards (Duong Kinh district); Dang Giang ward (Ngo Quyen district); Kenh Duong ward (Le Chan district) and 2 wards Dang Lam and Cat Bi (Hai An district). Currently, relevant local authorities are urgently conducting site clearance procedures to serve the project's construction.

For the construction of bridges and intersections, the contractor started construction on December 3, 2020, and is currently organizing 6 construction phases at the locations where the ground was handed over, including: constructing the structure under the main bridge, branches, main pillars TC2, TC3, dismantling the old bridge, ensuring road and waterway traffic... the value of implementation reached about 93 billion VND, equal to 9.2%.

Through field inspection and listening to reports at the working session, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho acknowledged that the Project Management Board and contractors have made efforts to overcome difficulties to implement project construction, especially in the context of the extremely complicated COVID-19 epidemic.
However, this is a key project of particular importance to the city's socio-economic development. To ensure the progress of the project, the urgent requirement is to speed up the site clearance progress, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed.
The Vice Chairman assigned Duong Kinh district to focus on directing, inspecting and urging the Road Construction Joint Stock Company to prioritize handing over the site to the construction contractor in February 2021 because this is a key site area, with the greatest impact on the project implementation progress. Assign the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Road Management District, Thanh Ha Company Limited, An Phat Trading Company Limited, Kien Thuy district to urgently carry out procedures to hand over the site for the project next week. On the shore of the City Center, the Vice Chairman requested relevant departments, branches, localities and units to coordinate and agree on a plan to hand over the site in February 2021 to construct 3 pillars of the left branch; infrastructure moveelectricity, water, telecommunications... to construct pillars TC9, TC10, MC2, retaining wall MC2 main bridge on Lach Tray road. The Vice Chairman emphasized that the city's stance is determined not to delay the completion of the project.

In addition, the Vice Chairman also reminded the Project Management Board and contractors during the construction process to absolutely ensure labor safety and COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.
