(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Implementing the 2024 Work Program, on the afternoon of June 25, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Confederation (term XV) organized the 5th Conference under the chairmanship of Chairman of the City Labor Confederation Nguyen Anh Tuan.
The conference approved the Reports on: Results of the labor movement and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, filling in duties for the last 6 months of 2024; Operational results of the Trade Union Inspection Committee at all levels in the first 6 months of the year, filling in duties for the last 6 months of 2024; Final settlement of trade union finances in 2023 and preliminary summary of union finance work in the first 6 months of 2024; Summary report of Worker's Month activities in 2024; Deploying activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; Approved the Draft Report summarizing 03 years of implementing Resolution No. 02- NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on innovating the organization and operations of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation; and Plan for organizing the awarding of Technical Creativity Contests within the unionn trade unions, workers, officials, and employees of Hai Phong city for the second time, 2023-2024.

Accordingly, closely following the direction of the City Party Committee, the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam and the program and tasks of trade union work in 2024. In the first 6 months of 2024, the City Confederation of Labor has focused on strong and creative innovation with many activities at all trade union levels, many practical activities, focusing on the grassroots, improving the material and spiritual life of union members and employees. Among them, the highlight is the contest "Smooth rice, sweet soup" which attracted the attention and response of a large number of female union members and workers both widely and in depth; Responding to Workers' Month 2024, Hai Phong City Labor Confederation awarded 1,500 subsidies, supporting funding to build and repair 25 Trade Union Shelters; changed car oil for 5,000 workers, issued 10,000 swimming tickets with a 30% discount for union members and employees with a total value of 4.5 billion VND...
Implementing the annual theme "Continuing to focus on developing union members and implementing digital transformation", in the last 6 months of the year, the City Confederation of Labor focused on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, focusing on establishing a number of grassroots unions; promote IT application and implement digital transformation in trade unions; perform well the representative function of taking care of and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; Continue to implement the project "Trade Union physical training points" from the funding for investment in trade union institutions according to the Resolution of the 15th Congress of City Trade Unions, striving for the number of installations at least 150 points in 2024... At the same time, implement 05 Action Programs concretizing 04 breakthrough steps in implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of City Trade Unions.pit, 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028./.
