On the afternoon of March 27 at Trang Due Industrial Park, LG Group (Korea) officially opened the first LG Technology Complex in Vietnam. The project has a fixed capitalg signed up to 1.5 billion USD and is confirmed to be the largest scale project in the world of LG Electronics.
The LG - Hai Phong technology complex with modern facilities is built on the 1.5 billion USD investment package of LG and LG's main suppliers, spanning over the past 15 years, and is recognized by LG as a long-term and stable investment strategy in Vietnam.
This factory complex has an area of 800,000 m2, focusing on manufacturing and assembling high-tech products such as: TVs, mobile phones, washing machines, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, digital devices for cars... serving about 70% export to the markets of America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Korea, and about 30% domestic consumption, playing a key role in LG's development strategy worldwide. bridge.
LG will promote technology transfer, promote the development and modernization of Vietnam's electronics industry, the localization rate of products manufactured at the factory is expected to reach 50% in phase I of investment and development.
Up to now, LG Technology Complex is the largest FDI project in Hai Phong, this is also a major project contributing to the process of innovating the development structure and economic growth goals of Hai Phong city. When the factory comes into operation, it will create jobs for tens of thousands of workers in the area and neighboring provinces.
