On the afternoon of October 16, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung received and worked with leaders of Fuji Xerox Corporation (Japan) led by Mr. Hiroshi Kurihara, Chairman of the Group. Also attending were leaders of the City People's Committee Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and related units.
Fuji Xerox Hai Phong Co., Ltd. was established at VSIP Thuy Nguyen Industrial and Service Park on August 17, 2012 with a capital of 36 million USD, and is one of the companies with the largest foreign investment capital in Hai Phong. The company specializes in manufacturing and exporting laser printers, digital electronic copiers, laser scanning equipment and accessories.
Mr. Hiroshi Kurihara, Chairman of Fuji Xerox Corporation, thanked the city leaders for taking the time to welcome the respectful delegation. This is the third time coming to Hai Phong, the Chairman of Fuji Xerox Group expressed his joy at the city's infrastructure development. The Group's Chairman hopes to receive attention from city leaders and create favorable conditions for the Group to continue investing in construction and expansion of the manufacturing plant. The Group Chairman also wondered whether the city's labor source in the industrial sector could meet the factory's production expansion needs in the near future.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung thanked Mr.Hiroshi Kurihara, Chairman of Fuji Xerox Corporation for visiting and working with Hai Phong city; basic information about the socio-economic development situation, especially and investment in infrastructure development of the city in recent times, with convenient transportation connecting with provinces and cities in the Northern coastal region. The Chairman of the City People's Committee also affirmed that the city's human resources will be sufficient when Fuji Xerox Group expands production and business. During the process of expanding the factory, if there are any difficulties or problems, Fuji Xerox Group will send a written report to the City People's Committee. The Chairman of the City People's Committee will direct the departments and agencies.promptly removed.
