On the evening of May 5, at the Square of the Political - Administrative Center of the North Song Cam New Urban Area, a preliminary review of the opening art program of the Red Poinciana Festival - Hai Phong 2026 with the theme "Hai Phong - Convergence - Shine" was held to celebrate the 71st Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2026).
Participating in the program were comrades: Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Quang Phuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments, branches, branches and units.
Art program with the theme "Hai Phong - Convergence - Shine" with the meaning of affirming that Hai Phong is a land of convergence, interference and crystallization of the historical, cultural and human values of the Heroic and Civilized City, the tradition of "Land of Civilized East, Land of Heroic Ports", and at the same time a convergence of development resources in industry, seaport, culture and international integration, demonstrating the strong rise of the city after the merger, contributing to spreading the image of a dynamic, creative, modern and integrated Hai Phong, shining on the path of sustainable development. Aiming to build Hai Phong into a modern industrial and seaport center, an important growth pole for the North and the whole country.
The program includes 3 chapters with songs loved by many generations, expressing the identity of Hai Phong people, elaborately and majestically staged. Chapter I "Hai Phong - An epic song at the head of the wave" opens the art program with the performance "The pride of the sea gate", followed by the performance "Bach Dang Giang's history"; "Flowers light a fire - What could be more beautiful"; “Red Poinciana City”.
Continuing the art program is Chapter II with the theme "Converging Sources" including the performances "Land of Eastern Civilization", "Afternoon on the Harbor", "Hai Phong glowing with red phoenix", "Your City", "Hai Phong with wings to fly".
Chapter III of the Art Program has the theme "The desire to shine" with performances "Music City" including the songs "My Hometown Harbor - May City - Quintessence of Vietnam"; performance "Brilliant halo"; performance "Light up the city" with the song "See the light"; performance "Hai Phong shines" with the songs "My hometown Hai Phong - Hai Phong takes off - Hai Phong shines".
The program uses works of musicians: Xuan Binh, Pham Viet Tuan, Nguyen Hung, Hai Nhu - Luong Vinh, Nguyen Duc Toan, Quynh Hop, Phuc Bo, Hubei, Pham Viet Tuan, Nguyen Hai Phong, My Tam, Huy Tuan...
The program has the participation of singers and artists: People's Artist Khanh Hoa, People's Artist Nhat Thuan, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, singers Trong Tan, My Tam, Pham Thu Ha, Duong Hoang Yen, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, RAMC, Thao Hien, Oplus Group, along with artists and actors from the Circus Federation, Hai Phong Contemporary Art Theater, Harmony Band, Grammy Dance Company, MTE Dance Company, HT Dance Troupe, Regiment 50 - City Military Command, People's Police Academy, Nui Deo Primary School, ...
On this occasion, the Festival Organizing Committee announced the title of Hai Phong Tourism Ambassador in 2026; awarded the Decision to recognize the Provincial Tourism Area to 01 enterprise; awarded certificates of "Enterprise meeting Green Tourism criteria" to 9 businesses.
The rehearsal program will officially take place at 8:00 p.m. on May 6 at the square of the Political and Administrative Center of North Song Cam Urban Area./.
